Manager of Investment Risk

The Mergis Group, a division of Spherion Corporation is assisting a client in identifying a Manger of Investment Risk  Responsibilities: ·  Develop a risk management process across the Pension portfolios.·  Develop the criteria, factors and tools to assess risks across multiple scenarios.  ·  Implement Daily and Board level reporting and monitoring of risks.·  Work closely with Director and team of investment professionals to develop  appropriate asset allocation to achieve long term investment objectives.·  Work with key relationship counterparties to validate and improve risk  management processes.·  Along with department investment professionals, analyze, recommend and  implement appropriate, new investment strategies exhibiting desirable risk and  return characteristics for the portfolios.·  Incorporate the use of derivatives into the evaluation of portfolio risk  characteristics.    Qualifications:·  MBA in Finance or related field preferred·  Seven years experience in positions responsible for trading, investing or  managing portfolio positions and risks in a plan sponsor, investment management or  trading firm.·  Five years experience with quantitative background in mathematics or statistics·  Understanding of financial markets and instruments·  Familiarity with asset allocation and portfolio construction processes and  techniques·  Strong analytical and quantitative skills  Please email resumes directly to kelliperfetti@mergisgroup.com    Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
