Manager of SEC Reporting

Our client, a large publicly traded manufacturing company headquartered in Pittsburgh is looking to bring on a Manager of SEC Reporting due to internal promotions.  This person will report to the Director of Accounting and will oversee a small staff.  The Manager of SEC Reporting must have solid financial reporting experience and an in-depth knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

The Manager of SEC Reporting will be responsible for the following:Overseeing the timely and accurate completion of all SEC documents and providing support to corporate accounting functions Managing the monthly consolidation, as well as internal and external reporting processes Supervising the preparation of SEC documents and filings Ensuring compliance with all corporate and SOX policies and procedures Leading a small team of well-qualified, degreed accountants and analysts Additional tasks and special projects as they arise

The Assistant Corporate Controller must possess the following minimum requirements in order to be considered:Bachelors degree in Accounting, coupled with a CPA 4 - 6 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience is strongly preferred Complete understanding of SEC, SOX, and GAAP requirements Working knowledge of Hyperion is a huge plus Ability and desire to develop and monitor accounting staff, policies, and procedures

There is very minimal travel involved with this position, and the client offers excellent salary and bonus packages.  This person that held this role previously was promoted to the Director of Accounting within eighteen months of coming on board.  They are looking for another candidate that is eager to progress through the ranks.
