We are looking for an experienced SOX Compliance Manager to join our Corporate Finance team.

 

This high profile role will provide leadership, structure, guidance and technical instruction ensuring compliance with and the successful implementation of controls over financial reporting required by Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).

 

In this position, you will:

 Manage activities between SOX consultants, independent auditors and management regarding the SOX implementation. Coordinate activities between SOX consultants and independent auditors regarding audit coordination and testing of internal controls. Provide status updates to executive management and the audit committee on the status of the SOX implementation, internal control deficiencies and overall summary of effectiveness of internal control environment. Assist in the evaluation and implementation of software that supports and facilitates compliance with SOX. Advise management on the development and management of actions plans to remediate control deficiencies Continuously evaluate the scope of the compliance program by assessing the impact of the organization, process and system changes Participate in documentation, Disclosure Committee meetings and ad hoc projects as needed

The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. / B.A. in Accounting plus a minimum of 7 years of accounting and / or auditing experience. This includes recent experience (3 – 5 years) within public accounting, internal audit, or a position with responsibility for SOX compliance. CPA or other certifications preferred

 

Other requirements include:Firm working knowledge of sections 302 and 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, including relevant SEC and PCAOB guidance ·  Excellent verbal / written communications and organization skills MS Office skills, including Excel and Word Experience with Oracle Modules is preferred  Working knowledge of IT application and general controls
