We are currently seeking a Plant Cost Accountant who will be responsible for setting and maintaining standard costs, reporting on performance against standards, analyzing standard cost information for accuracy, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.  This position will work closely with the VP of Finance. 

Key Responsibilities:

· Analyze standard cost variances and their root causes on a daily basis

· Effectively communicate areas of concern to appropriate individuals on a timely basis

· Daily and monthly reporting of variances to management team

· Analyze monthly results for reporting package

· Annual development of standard cost and variance plan, including labor rates, overhead rates, material costs, routes and cost reduction projects

· Maintain and track plant cost reduction activities

Successful candidate will possess:

· BS in Accounting

· Minimum of 3 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

· Strong analytical and technical skills

· Solid communication and presentation skills

· A proven work record of self-motivation, productivity and teamwork

· Familiarity with a MFG/PRO integrated computer system or a working knowledge of a similar integrated financial computer system would be a plus.
