Additional key responsibilities include: Supporting potential and current acquisitions Overseeing a team of financial analysts Ensuring the group is Sarbanes-Oxley compliant Ensuring audit requirements are met  Supporting and driving the accounting close process Managing and developing the team Participating in complex financial projects Delivering/creating presentations for senior management Hiring, terminating and giving employee reviews Identifying/implementing best practices around the accounting process The requirements for this role are as follows: Substantial experience developing and administering audit controls A background in a leadership role (e.g. team lead, supervisor etc.) Experience generating financial statements Solid MS Excel skills A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/FinanceAdditional assets include: Experience directly supervising others CPA/MBA accreditation A background in the healthcare/insurance industry Essbase, Peoplesoft and/or MS Access skillsUnitedHealth Group offers a full range of comprehensive benefits to full-time and part-time employees, including medical, dental and vision, as well as a matching 401k and an employee stock purchase plan.  UnitedHealth Group is a drug-free workplace.  Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere: equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V.
