The medcom group, ltd. is seeking applicants for the position of medical collections for Durable Medical Equipment, DME, with a strong background and experience in working in the office environment of an orthopedic clinic/office and strong AR medical collection skills.  Experience in management may open up other possibilities.  A history of securing insurance contracts a very high plus.  Strong back office experience required also. At least 5-7 years experience preferred.  This is a full time salaried position with benefits.  A BS/BA degree and some graduate school also a plus.

Medcom has been supplying orthopedic DME to facilities and patients since 1988.  We have field representatives and have a strong Internet presence and are developing an aggressive Internet marketing position.  One of our frailties is that we have more ideas and projects than hours in the day.  An applicant with extraordinary organizational skills is required.  Medical experience in management is an obvious prerequisite preferably with experience running a DME medical office (with field branches).  Insurance finesse with collections and contracting and suave negotiating tactics with insurance payers an additional prerequisite. PAR experience with insurance companies, a must! Insurance reimbursement and collection specialist - candidate needs strong experience here Electronic billing knowledge Joint Commission compliance experience GPO contracting AP Insurance contracting Managed care contacts Business development Ability to manage, motivate and reorganize staff to maximize efficiency Microsoft product experience, MS Office, SharePoint AND MS Access databases, (running queries) Experience with Internet web sales, web design, AdWords and support a substantial plus.
