SCHEDULE:

Monday – Thursday, 10am-7pm; Friday 8am-5pm; Occasional 12pm-9pm; One Saturday per month, 8am-1pm

 

DUTIES:

· Provide consistent quality customer service to both internal and external customers that meets or exceeds Sovereign's standards.

· Advise customers of their responsibilities under loan contracts, and provide individual counseling on acceptable and convenient payment arrangements.

· Identify customer account problems and quickly route them to appropriate area.

· Ensure that delinquencies are kept to a minimum through effective negotiating and follow-up skills.

· Use skip tracing techniques to locate delinquent customers as required.

· Perform job duties in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

· Maintain knowledge of Sovereign's mortgage products.

· Other duties as assigned or requested.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· 2-4 years successful collection experience. 

· Accuracy.

· Proven organizational skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Problem solving skills.

· Proficient PC Skills including Windows, both Word and Excel.

· DataLink experience preferred. 

· Ability to set priorities and work in a high pressure environment.

· Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines.
