North Side Staff Accountant with banking experience Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant in the Conroe area.  Basic Description is below.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES o Maintain fixed assets records including monthly depreciation allocations, verification of contracts and maintains inventory information regarding assets purchased. o Maintain prepaid assets records including monthly amortization allocations, verification of contracts and all other information regarding assets purchased. o Prepare and enter general ledger entries as required and reconciliation of general ledger accounts as needed. o Gathers and verifies all reconciled balance sheet accounts monthly. o Preparation and development of spreadsheets & other applications. o Assist in analyzing and updating month-end information on the general ledger. o Maintain comparative income statements for all branches to help prepare budget. o Maintain and regulate monthly sales tax payments. o Maintain property taxes information annually.The ideal candidate will also have a 4 year college degree in Accounting or a degree in Finance or Business with at least 12 hours of accounting courses.  The client is also looking for someone proficient in Microsoft Office, is well organized and detail oriented, and a self-starter/team player.  Demonstrated proficiency in accounting is required.
