Operations Analyst

SFI of Ohio is a steel fabricator who is currently looking for an Operations Analyst to join our Accounting Department in our New Boston, Ohio facility.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

General Accounting functions including, but not limited to, supervision of employees responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, analysis of General Ledger Accounts as well as daily internal reporting or reporting for a particular purpose.

 

Performs analysis of payroll costs, variable and fixed manufacturing costs, cost absorption, work orders and bills of material.

 

Performs continuous monitoring of data quality and completeness through transactional analysis.

 

Conducts studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for procedure, control, or action.

 

Provides interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations.

 

Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance.

 

Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.

 

Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.

 

Directs preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts.

 

Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.

 

Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.

 

Assists organization's controller in the development of the budget, planning, and other corporate financial requirements.

 

Education and/or Experience  

Bachelors Degree (B.A.) in Accounting with a minimum of five (5) years experience in a manufacturing environment.  Must demonstrate experience and knowledge of Inventory Control and Cost Accounting, preferably in discreet unit manufacturing.  Must have a working knowledge of payroll procedures.  Federal, State and Local Tax filings is also desirable.
