Operations Staff Accountant

 Position Responsibilities:
 
1)  Reconcile custodial cash accounts for funds under management - domestic and international accounts.
2)  Reconcile custodial position statements for funds under management - domestic and international accounts. 
3)  Research and resolve discrepancies. Correspond with Custodial Client Service Representatives and other members of the Operations Team to clear outstanding items/issues.
4) Run daily downloads to brokers. Import data for reconciliation programs.
5) Run Prime Brokerage and Swap/CFD Balance reports each morning.
6)  Assist other staff members responsible for derivatives settlement and reconciliation as necessary.
7) Run nightly reports as backup when necessary.
8) Assist supervisor with special projects.

 
Position Requirements:
 
1)  Minimum Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance WITH 3.0+ GPA
2)  2-4 years experience in Finance/Accounting related field
3)  Basic understanding of accounting principles
4)  Heavy reconciliation skills
5)  Excel and computer experience required
6)  Attention to detail and able to work on deadline
7)    Strong interpersonal and communication skills
8)  Excellent organization skills
9)  Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
