Oracle 10g Developer Analyst

The candidate will be working on a client server based system which provides disbursing and collection functions in US and foreign currency and automated accountability for a Government agency.  This system also supports other Government agencies.  The system has real time processing where all inputs or batch functions can be performed at any time by the users.  It is accessed through a CITRIX web client and its GUI application is housed on a server farm off-site.  CITRIX allows the system to be able to release the client to one location and provide access worldwide.  The system GUI is written in PowerBuilder and is currently housed on an HP Superdome server.  There are approximately 250 programs written in PL/SQL and the customer is in the process of converting the last of the COBOL programs to PL/SQL.  Oracle 10G database with 80% PL/SQL packages.

 

   

Minimum Skill set Required:

Experience with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition, and PL/SQL and CORE release 10 or higher.  Familiarity with Citrix, preferably version 3.6 or higher.  Good team player with solid communication skills. 

 

Preferred Skill set:

Experience with finance and accounting systems strongly preferred.  Experience with File Transfer Protocols (TCP/IP, Connect:Direct, etc.) a definite plus.
