PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

Diagnostic Health Corporation, a multi-modality facilities offering a combination of outpatient diagnostic imaging services, including MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine services currently has a Patient Account Representative position available at its Pelham, AL National Diagnostic Business Office.

Position Summary:

Perform all bill edit and collection activities on assigned accounts to obtain payment from both third party payers and patients. Manage all aspects of receivable process for assigned accounts.

 

Responsibilities:Seek reimbursement of revenue from third-party payers and patients.Review patients’ accounts and input required data and comments into IDX systemConduct appropriate account follow-up to resolve unpaid claims, claim denials, and returned claims from payersIdentify and communicate issues relating to billing, coding, pricing and reimbursement

 Qualifications:High school diploma; College degree preferredFour plus years experience in a medical billing/collections setting working with EDI vendorsMedical insurance and knowledge of EOB and compliance practices preferredStrong knowledge of  HIPAA Privacy Standards, CMS guidelines, ICD-9 and CPT coding
