PORTIA Analyst:

This is for a Investment Firm (ASSET MANAGEMENT) in NYC (212) And OR PA (610)/NJ (609/732).

6 months contract might extend depending on evaluation.

Rate-Commensurate W/ WXP.

Operation Dept: Portfolio Acctg / Reconciliation Area

Take data from PORTIA, do the reconciliation / comparison with custodian data. Create Report based data.

Experience:

1. Recon exp in Portfolio Acctg. PORTIA ideal. How to get data out of PORTIA and into PORTIA based reports

2. Understands Portfolio data ... positions etc / PORTIA does this work but good to have exp.

3. Recon exp at Investment Mgmt Firm (not from broker dealer)

Investment portfolio accountant experienced in portfolio reconcilation of account relationships with custom reporting requirements across a broad range of investment instruments including equities, fixed income, TBA's, etc.

Position will require a combination of reconciliation work and providing over site and audit information of joint venture activity

OTHER information:

Prepares and maintains investment portfolio accounting for large or complex account relationships. Verifies accuracy of security master file, security holdings, all transactions and accounting methodologies and investigates discrepancies through to resolution. Responds to client requests and conducts special reports, projects and analyses as needed.



Skill Desired:

Excellent PC skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, and MS Windows Required

2-4 years of portfolio administration/portfolio accounting and reconciliation Required.

Strong analytical and organizational skills required.

Education: BS Accounting, Finance, Economics or related major strongly preferred
