PROJECT FINANCIAL SPECIALIST

The UW Medicine IT Services Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Project Financial Specialist. This individual will be responsible for a wide range of analytical and technical duties involving the planning, evaluation, preparation, and accounting of financial budgets for major information technology projects. In addition, this individual will develop and maintain financial controls and reporting mechanisms for sound financial management of the IT Project Portfolio. Finally, this indivdidual will develop and implement tools to ensure success in the financial monitoring and tracking of major projects, with timely and accurate reporting of project financial status to IT Services leadership, and for project internal and external oversight boards.

UW Medicine IT Services department is a shared services organization, which supports all of UW Medicine including the award-winning University of Washington Medical Center (ranked among the nation’s top ten hospitals in 2005 by US News and World Report), Harborview Medical Center (the region's only Level I Trauma center), Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, UW School of Medicine and UW Physicians Network.

IT Services provides ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to further the UW Medicine mission of patient care, research and teaching.
