UPMC Corporate Services is currently seeking a cost analyst to work in their Payor Contract Services department in the South Side of Pittsburgh.  This position is responsible for developing and analyzing unit costs on a department level.  The cost analyst will review and assist in the analysis of Payor financial and operational information from a cost (expense) perspective.  This position will define and extract relevant information from the UPMC cost accounting system, Alliance, and will then interpret financial performance and operational issues for the purpose of determining Payor performance from reviewing cost and reimbursement experience.  Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in finance, business health care management or a related business field.  A minimum of two years of related work experience in health care finance is required.  Microsoft Office experience with emphasis on spreadsheet applications is required and an understanding of patient billing systems and revenue cycle is preferred.  Attn:  JS Apply at www.upmc.com by following these steps; click Careers at UPMC, Start My Job Search, and follow the link to continue to search and apply for openings.
