POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading the operational Payroll activities provided by NBS, executed by the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider meeting or exceeding Operating Companies business requirements. Working with the Service Delivery team, this role acts as the primary liaison between payroll, and the BPO provider. The role also interfaces on certain defined payroll activities with all Operating Companies. Key responsibilities include ensuring the end-to-end Payroll processes are carried out to ensure timely and accurate execution of payroll. Ensures policies are carried out by outsourcing partner in accordance with Nestle service level expectations. Responsible for vendor management, issue escalation and dispute resolution, analysis of trend reports, issues management, and the initiation of data collection reporting. Responsible for ensuring appropriate controls and audits are in place and carried out as agreed. Primary contact for various internal and external audits within payroll. Partners with Operating Companies to make recommendations for new performance categories and service levels. Also works with the Service Delivery director and NBS BPO governance team to ensure and support effective governance of the HR BPO service offerings and overall HR BPO performance of Payroll administration in Costa Rica.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Oversees execution of payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payroll to employees.2. Facilitates performance tracking, measurement, reporting and analysis for NBS HR and Operating Companies via Service Level Agreements.3. Facilitates and escalates key vendor problems to NBS BPO governance and Service Delivery director for resolution.4. Coordinates and handles issue and dispute management throughout the BPO life cycle utilizing the NBS Governance process.5. Communicates any required payroll updates/changes to Knowledgebase content with Employee Service Center team.6. Manages retained payroll staff and oversees vendor management of payroll BPO partners. 7. Oversight of internal/external audits, knowledge base updates, year-end process interaction, payroll calendar setting, and financial/cost analysis.8. Monitors data collection reports and tests for reasonability.9. Evaluates trend report analysis, vendor scorecard, and monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews. Performs regular reviews/refresh of measurement/metrics.10. Provides coaching and training as needed to both retained payroll staff and BPO partners.11. Coordinates employee payroll or payroll tax communications as necessary. REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:* Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Professional certification or graduated study in related field is preferred. EXPERIENCE:* Minimum of ten (10) years of Human Resources expertise at the management level within a company of similar or larger size. Expertise having led the Payroll function is critical. Prior experience and success with project set-up, change and issue management, conflict resolution and management reporting. Prior experience with outsourced Payroll preferred.
