Plant Controller

We are seeking a Plant Controller for a major manufacturer near Lincoln, NE. Qualified candidates will have BS Accounting degree and 5+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Duties include maintaining the company’s cost accounting system; ensuring accuracy and consistency of all costing data throughout the company; coordinating the development, implementation and follow up of key performance indicators (shipments, production, purchasing, etc.) in order to provide executive management with timely and accurate financial information and analysis; supporting the general accounting function in the budgeting and forecasting processes (including standard cost roll-up); financial and operational data analysis; supervising accounting staff; etc. Additional duties include communicating cost changes to other department managers; managing the fixed assets system; preparing and distributing weekly and monthly cost center, shipment, operations and purchasing reports; coordinating the month-end closing process; proposing cost allocation methods and preparing monthly cost allocation sheets; reconciliation of general ledger accounts; and trend analysis. Candidates must have exceptional oral/written communication skills; problem-solving and analytical skills; planning/organizational skills; motivational skills; GAAP experience and proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel and Access).
