Portfolio Accountant

A dynamic and fast paced private investment administration and wealth management company located just 20 minutes west of Route 28 off of Route 66 is looking for a Portfolio Accountant.

 

General:

Portfolio accountant responsible for investment, financial and income tax processing, analysis and reporting for the assigned investment accounts and/or partnerships entities.

 I. Custody Account Reconciliation· Import & process investment and cash transactions· Reconcile monthly custody account and manager statements· Reconcile partnership capital accounts where applicable II. Account Analysis & Maintenance· Cash management including monitoring un-invested cash balances · Manage and plan for cash needs for investment and other purposes· Process & monitor client service requests to the custodian bank· Assist with special projects

 III.  Quarterly & Annual Reporting  · Prepare financial statements· Prepare quarterly trust distributions package· Prepare estimated tax analysis· Prepare cash flow statementsIV.  Year-end · Compile year-end report file

· Prepare annual partner’s statements - partnerships

· Prepare tax work paper package for tax service provider WTASRequired Experience/Skills:· Minimum 2-4+ years of accounting experience · Experience with partnerships and investment administration, a plus· High attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and complete manner· Ability to work independently and on a team· A self-starter who works well under pressure· Advanced Excel experience mandatory· Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic  Salary & Benefits

· $40,000-$50,000
