Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) located in Bullhead City, AZ is seeking an Energy Portfolio Manager to work in their marketing and scheduling agent’s office (Western Area Power Administration – WAPA) located in Phoenix, AZ.  While it is not anticipated in the near term, the position may ultimately be transitioned to MEC’s office in Bullhead City, AZ. 

 

The position involves scheduling power to meet MEC’s load from both existing contracts and arranging for purchases of additional power and transmission on a short term basis, hour, day and month ahead; as well as developing longer term plans to meet MEC’s power requirements.

 

The position will report to WAPA’s Energy Management and Marketing Office Manager for specific work duties, responsibilities and assignments. This position is open to all U.S. citizens.  The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $98,500. A detailed job description and an outline of the employment benefits is available upon request.
