Private Equity Analyst

Private Asset Manager in Kirkland, WA seeks a Private Equity Analyst. This newly created position will assist the External Manager group by conducting industry research, analyzing new fund investments, and evaluating new direct investment opportunities.  This position will also be responsible for building relationships with private equity fund managers and assisting with the development of new co-investment opportunities and investment mindshare.



Responsibilities:

 

 

 

 

 

 

·         Assist Senior Private Equity Analyst with research and financial modeling for co-investment deals and new fund investments

o        Assist the analysis, due diligence, valuation, and recommendation of co-investment opportunities

o        Analyze new fund investments and manage the new fund investment process.

o        Assist with valuation of the direct investment portfolio for presentation to the Valuation Committee.

·         Responsible for building relationships with private equity managers

o        Visit core relationships, participate in quarterly and annual meetings, and on advisory boards as necessary.

o        Mindshare with Private Equity Managers to develop new investment ideas.

o        Maintain knowledge of fund investments through review of manager communications and financial reports

·         Assist with ad-hoc public equity analysis and recommendation and with other projects as needed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 













 

Requirements and Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with 1-4 years of experience in financial analysis.

·         Demonstrated financial acumen including valuation techniques, quantitative ability, problem solving, research, and analytical skills.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office including strong Excel modeling skills.

·         Team player with the ability to work independently and be accountable for results.

·         Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.

·         Ability to deal with ambiguity and manage multiple tasks or projects at one time.

·         Must represent self, the company and owners in a highly professional and ethical manner.

·         Moderate travel required.

·         Experience working with PrivateI database and reporting tool and in investments a plus.

·         CFA and/or CPA designation a plus.
