 Job DescriptionThe Business Application Developer will be responsible for design, development, testing and support of applications and reporting systems that meet the internal needs of the firm.  This is a new position that has been created to facilitate programming projects within the firm.Duties

· Work with IT and non-IT staff members to understand business requirements and translate into application specifications

· Work alone and with others to design, code and test applications ranging in size from small to moderate

· Provide complete technical and non-technical documentation for programs

· Design and create reports to meet business needs

· Design systems for data integration and synchronization between systemsRequirements

Bachelors or Associates degree in IT/Computer Science or a related field, plus two years of relevant experience (or equivalent)

Experience with the .NET framework, including ASP.NET and Windows Forms to create small and medium-sized applications

Experience coding with VB.NET  (c# experience preferred but not required)

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and processes and design software solutions to meet these requirements

Practical understanding of SQL programming, the relational database model, and Microsoft SQL Server required.  Experience with T-SQL preferred but not required

Experience with SQL Reporting Services preferred but not required

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and building web parts preferred, but not required
