Project Accountant - Construction or Engineering Exp.

Title: Project AccountantLocation:  Long Beach, CA  Department: Accounting/Finance

Salary Range:  $50K-$60K++ Based on past salary history and experience

3+ Years Construction/Engineering Experience is a Must!  Accounting Degree Preferred.

· Prepares billing invoices to clients, including gathering proper supporting documentation. 

· Review all types of billing support as received, and verify if applicable to the project for billing purposes.

· Ability to read project contract documents and bill in accordance with project terms, and in accordance with billing procedures.

· Sends billing invoices to Project Managers for approval and subsequent transmittal to client.

· Resolves issues and coordination problems between project management, project controls, procurement, cost accounting, revenue recognition, construction contracts, and corporate accounting functions such as payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting.

Salary Range:  $50K-$65K Based on past salary history and experience

Previous Commercial Construction Accounting Experience & Strong Analytical Skills are Preferred

· Staff Accountant with an excellent understanding of construction accounting procedures and principles who is well-disciplined, conscientious, detail oriented and a fast learner.

· The candidate must also possess strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to construction project accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reporting.
Minimum Education and Experience: Four-year degree in accounting or related field a plusMinimum four years construction accounting experience
