Project Accounting Manager

Balfour Beatty Rail is an industry-leading nation wide rail infrastructure service provider. The company offers multi-discipline construction services in the areas of right-of-way maintenance and capital construction projects. It provides track construction and maintenance services for track, traction power and train control and communication disciplines.

 

We are looking for an individual to manage the overall accounting function for a major rail construction project in the Denver area. Individual will be responsible to manage and monitor job costs versus budget, coordinate accounts receivable to assume all invoices are proper and all billable costs are invoiced, coordinate with the Project Manager, where necessary, the identification and tracking of change order work costs and billings, prepare monthly financial forecasts and reports plus work with the Project Manager and the corporate office Controller to assure maximum project profitability.

 

The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting with 2 to 4 years of experience working in a construction environment with a thorough understanding of Cost and Financial accounting. Individual needs to have excellent communication and computer skills including Microsoft Office applications: Word and Excel.
