Project Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Plans, directs, and coordinates projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and/or funding parameters. Reports to Vice President of Business Initiatives. Reviews and/or develops project proposals and plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects. Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or works with departmental leads in the assignment of project personnel. May have the responsibility of managing project supervisors/leaders assigned to specific projects. Confers with project staff or departmental leads to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within the defined scope and prescribed budget. Schedules project deliverables with consideration of departmental priorities, budgeting and capacity. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
