Project Manager - CPE/Licensing Compliance Coordinaor

WithumSmith+Brown, a growing accounting firm and rated as one of the Best Places to Work by NJBIZ, seeks strong project manager to handle the administration of the firm's Continuing Professional Education program and CPA licensing activities.



Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the CPE/Licensing Compliance Coordinator will serve as THE firm expert on the subject of CPE requirements for state licensing and in-firm requirements. You will also manage and maintain the internal training software system; manage and administer the logistics for all training events; maintain CPE calendar/schedule; and manage, administer, and track licenses.  Duties include, but are not limited to:

Ensuring compliance with requirements for all CPE regulators such as PCAOB, NASBA, YellowBook as they relate to obtaining and granting CPE credits. Data entry  of individuals and CPE credits into the training software system - entering and updating classes; sending invites for classes; completing monthly CPE status update/delinquency reports. Act as primary contact for CPE instructors. Oversee and coordinate the planning of training events. Identify and file necessary paperwork for Firm and/or individual CPA licenses. Act as a liaison with State societies to understand licensing requirements. File annual reports

 

Qualifications we seek:

  Strong planning, organizational, and follow-up skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff - both verbally and through written communications. Strong PC skills- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.  Moderate Powerpoint skills okay. Knowledge of and experience using a CPE and licensing sofware program is a plus. Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and work well under pressure is required. Detail oriented with a keen ability to plan and think ahead. Self-starter with ability to work with minimum supervision. Strong negotiation skills to interact with vendors, instructors, etc. Ability to travel locally, with own transportation. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.

 

You should also have 3-5 years related experience in a professional services, customer service, or corporate environment.  Experience with training operations is a plus as is meeting and event planning experience.  An associate's degree in Business or related field is preferred.
