Property Accounting Manager

We are currently seeking a strong Property Accounting Manager for a very profitable, exciting organization that is a market leader in its industry. The company offers a dynamic environment as well as excellent employee benefits.

 

Responsibilities:

The Accounting Manager position reports to the company Chief Financial Officer.  This position is responsible for all day to day aspects of accounting for multiple properties.  This includes:

Accounts Payable

-  Entry and payment of bills, invoices and other items related to projects

-  Review of items for proper approval, coding and potential duplication of invoices

-  Management of vendor files including year end creation of 1099s

-  Maintenance of cash requirements

-   Annual reconciliation of property tax bills

 

Accounts Receivable

-  Monthly billing of tenant lease and CAM Charges

-  Monthly inter-company billing of employee time and expenses

 

General Ledger

-  Manage monthly close including closing JEs from third party accounting groups

-  Management of depreciation and amortization schedules

-  Management of inter-company “investment” and “capital” accounts

-  Timely completion of all bank reconciliations

-  Creation of monthly and quarterly reports including notes to financial statements

 

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a 4 year college or university or extensive applicable experience.3-5 years accounting experienceExperience with real estate development and/or property management.  Fluency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Windows XP and accounting software.  Timberline Software experience a big plus. Public accounting experience a big plus
