PURCHASING AGENT

 

WIL Research Laboratories, LLC is looking for a Purchasing Agent to work with its vendors as partners to assist in acquiring new products for the company’s future. Our philosophy is to maintain long term working relationships with our vendors, and to secure the best solution for the highest value.

 

Applicants should have 3 to 5 Years Purchasing Experience. Associate degree or equivalent and a good knowledge in Microsoft programs: Excel, WORD, Access, PowerPoint, etc.

 

The Purchasing Agents primary function is to acquire goods and services at a competitive price, delivery, and top quality via the issuance of a purchase order and assume all purchasing activities for the company to include but not limited to getting quotes and prices for all purchases, Analyses quotes and vendors to find best deals for the company, place purchase orders and follow-up on orders and deliveries, maintain database on products and suppliers to ensure quality and performance. create long term agreements and relationships with suppliers to ensure best prices, on time deliveries and minimum inventory on hand, maintain and control inventory status, and ensure timely replenishment, highlight any problem areas and report to Controller, generate effective communications, good relationship, and a positive image with suppliers and co-workers promoting courtesy, objectivity and fairness, and locate new suppliers (if necessary).
