QC Manager

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Manager.  This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional to oversee the Quality Control for a niche-oriented accounting firm.  In this role you will assist with the development and maintenance of the firm professional practice policies, standards, technical forms and manuals.  This position reports to the partner in charge of Quality Control and can be based either in the Falls Church, VA or Raleigh, NC office.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintaining firm Quality Control policiesOversight of annual updates to electronic audit templatesMonitoring GAAS and PCAOB standards and changes to themHandling quality reviews of audit engagements, including SEC engagementsCoordination of internal quality control reviews procedures performed by othersKeeping staff current on latest pronouncementsOversight of firm training and CPE complianceCoordination of peer review processCoordination of PCAOB Inspection

 

Ideal candidates will have:At least 4 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 or large regional CPA firmCPAExperience in reviewing audit workpapersExperience researching complex audit and accounting issues (preferred)Previous SEC/PCAOB audit experience (preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelExperience with CaseWare auditing software (preferred)
