RATING ANALYST

In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of documentation, communication and testing of large group rating and underwriting procedures, as well as facilitate the support needs of our Rating & Underwriting area. Responsibilities will include: providing technical expertise/support to the Rating and Underwriting staff creating/revising rating factors or formulating when necessary providing rating/underwriting technical support to the IBM LAN Support area training/instructing new and existing employees implementing changes to rating procedures, policies and/or practices coordinating PC support for the Rating and Underwriting area assisting in the review of rating formulae, factors and procedures for validity handling special financial reporting to the division completing special projects as assigned conducting renewal, settlement, and proposal audits To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting, Mathematics, Finance or Statistics, supported by 3+ years of Large Group Rating and Underwriting experience. Knowledge of rating and underwriting procedures, excellent oral/written communication skills, and PC proficiency are essential, as is demonstrated ability to organize, develop and present information in a clear, concise and understandable manner. Presentation experience and/or knowledge of training techniques preferred. Familiarity with Lotus Notes database reporting a definite plus.
