RIC Tax Analyst

Local investment advisor and hedge funds organization, is seeks to expand their tax department with a talented professional capable of advancing from individual contributor to team leader. 

 

The ideal background would include tax experience with a funds company. The work mix will include federal and state returns, IRS compliance, year end shareholder reporting, managing federal excise tax liability, working closely with corporate finance regards tax accruals and financial statement footnotes and working with external vendors as needed

 

Requirements:

·          BS / BA as a minimum with advanced degree a plus but not required.

·          2 years of mutual fund tax experience.

·          Any public accounting experience a plus as would be a CPA, neither are required.

·          Experience in corporate and partnership taxation is desirable.

·          Familiarity with GAAP/financial reporting desirable.

·          Tax research skills.

·          Strong oral and written communication skills.

·          Any experience reviewing the work of more junior staff would be a significant plus.
