ROYALTY SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities/Duties:·  Supervise the day to day operations of the Royalty Dept, including workload, staff, and author relationships.·  Contract integrity to include input and quality control review of input.·  Ensure author payments are accurate, timely, and in compliance with contract terms.·  Post and ensure accurate posting of all entries related to royalty reserves and royalty expense.·  Ensure accurate invoicing, recognition of revenue, and payment to authors for subrighrts income.·  Tax reporting and filing related to author payments 1099 and 1042.·  Data integrity between Royalty VISTA system and GL SAP system.·  Liaison with editors and authors.·  Represent royalty area on projects and new processes involving royalties.·  Assist in identifying process improvements.·  Contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the Accounting Dept. Qualifications:Education:  Candidate must have a 4 year degree with a major in Business or Accounting. Work Experience:The ideal Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years experience working directly with general ledger entries and subsystems.  Previous experience with contract interpretation and compliance is a plus. Candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as this position serves as a liaison with authors and many internal departments. Excellent organization skills, ability to handle multiple tasks,  deadline and detail oriented,  dependable team player, and  working knowledge of spreadsheet applications preferably Excel are a must.  Experience in SAP is preferred.  Must be able to complete journal entries, and reconciliation of sub ledger. Starting Salary is $45,000 - $55,000 based upon experience.
