Reconciliation Analyst (0608070)

DescriptionSerco North America, a $600 Million division of Serco Group - a $6 Billion worldwide service company is looking for a reconciliation anlayst to join the GL Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely reconciliation of Depository Accts /Disbursement Accts/Corporate Investment Accts. Be able to work with and communicate clearly with various Banks to research and resolve errors and any discrepancies. Have the ability and initiative to work with Assistant Controller, A/P, Payroll and other Accountants to resolve ledger discrepancies and issues. Understand the General Ledger in order to book maintenance and corrective journal entries. Have advanced excel skills and spreadsheet knowledge along with automated Banking and software knowledge in Deltek Costpoint and/or SAPRelies on judgement and limited experience to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; reports to the GL Manager/Assistant Controller. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Coordinate Automated Bank Reconciliations •Assist with Cash Reporting on an analysis level•Investigate reconciling items and entering adjustments•Update files and process reconciliation•Maintain assigned General Ledger accounts•Perform monthly reconciliations and analysis•Research issues and discrepancies•Propose and prepare adjusting journal entries•support the US General Ledger group•Enter and maintain adjusting journals•Account analysis and reconciliation. •Other special projects as required.Required SkillsA minimum of 3-5yrs experience in Bank Reconciliation and G/L. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting and 3-5 years of experience in the accounting or in a related area
