A successful Regional Finance Coordinator will possess strong analytical and communication skills, collaborative management abilities and the initiative to drive continual process improvement on cross-functional teams in the region.  This position reports directly to the Regional Director of Operational Finance-Midwest Region and works closely with the Regional Assistant Controller. 1. Coordinate analysis and reporting for fiscal period and quarterly closes for the Midwest region. Proactively present recommendations for financial and/or operational improvements to regional and store leadership based on analysis 2. Lead, mentor and develop Regional Financial Analysts (currently a team of four) 3. Oversee the Midwest budgeting and planning process from gathering store leadership input to final delivery of the annual plan reports and narrative. Lead regional efforts to evolve budgeting and forecasting process to meet the expected implementation of new budgeting and reporting software in FY09 4. Actively participate in the development and delivery of training programs for financial and non-financial team members across the Midwest region 5. Continuously improve financial analysis and review processes to most effectively meet the Midwest region's growth projections. Coordinate efficient production of scheduled and ad hoc reporting and analysis across the regional financial team 6. Develop and foster strong working relationships with Midwest store operations personnel and other Midwest regional and Central support teams to promote financial awareness in decision making across functional areas 7. Assist Director and Assistant Controller with accounting compliance, policies and procedures when necessary 8. Participate in other finance and accounting projects as needed including new system development and implementation Knowledge, skills and abilities required: 1. Two to five years of accounting/finance leadership 2. Accounting or Finance degree desired, CPA or CFA certification a plus 3. Superior Microsoft Excel and report writing skills, including the ability to evaluate the usefulness of data provided to answer the business question at hand 4. Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal and listening communication skills in front of varied audiences 5. Ability to work with others, direct others and work cooperatively with team members in ensuring completion of projects and assigned tasks 6. Must be a productive and self-motivated team player with a passion for improving process efficiency 7. Strong review and analytical skills including the ability to effectively plan/project regional and store-level expenses 8. Must be well organized, able to prioritize, multitask and adhere to deadlines 9. Retail or food industry background preferred, experience with multiple currencies a plus 10. Ability to travel for training and projects as well as represent the Midwest financial team when needed 11. Experience with PeopleSoft or other ERP systems a plus 12.
