Regional Finance Manager

Job Summary: The Regional Finance Manager’s role, covering our Eastern region, is to manage and provide general and specific oversight of accounting functions as well as financial reporting, month-end closing, and contract and revenue recognition. This position will take the lead in a variety of project areas including budgeting/forecasting, lease analysis, capital investments analysis and the analysis of new business opportunities while continually focusing on accounting policy and procedures. In addition, this person will play a key role as a business partner to the assigned operating division through participating in monthly, quarterly and annual finance and operations meetings. Essential Functions: Generates timely monthly financial statements including regional management reports. Creates or improves, and applies fiscal controls and procedures within the region. Develops and monitors budgets and forecasts. Conducts periodic audits of job locations, and budget comparisons to actual. Maintains communication with the regional executive management team and Operations Controller, providing relevant fiscal information. Customer interaction on financial issues as required. Analyze existing contracts and related financials, driving optimization of job margins and cash flow. Responsible for review of capital investments for new and existing customers including purchase/lease decisions, financial justifications, and cash flow analysis. Preparation of budgets and forecasts as well as variance reporting. Ensure business process compliance within the region.

Additional Responsibilities:

Candidate will support the Controller of Operations & Business Development on an as needed basis, review pricing for new bid proposals, and make recommendations on feasibility of new business bids. Qualifications/Requirements:

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance with a minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience. Candidates should possess the following skills: Analytical, problem awareness, communication (including oral, written, listening and presentation skills). System applications experience including Microsoft Office, Cognos and J.D. Edwards helpful.
