Regional Financial Manager

The candidate I am searching for will have (had) experience as a financial manager supporting multiple business units for a region. A financial services industry is required and insurance industry experience would be preferred. This opportunity will support a Vice President of sales and report to a corporate HQ financial executive. The successful candidate will have 10-15 years of progressive finance and accounting background. A bachelors degree in accounting or finance is required and a masters degree and/or a CPA would be ideal.




You will share accountability for achieving profit and growth objectives within the parameters of maximizing the economic value added by the operation as a member of a division/region management team. Managing the business planning process; monitors, analyzes, reports, and drives financial and operational results; supports credit analysis and receivables management for assigned accounts; analyzes economic and industry trends in support of a division/region's development of short- and long-range strategies. Fosters critical thinking about the business operations and proactively drives discussions with division/region management on issues and concerns and is able to successfully influence others within the operations. 




Skills & Experience:  Excellent financial analysis skills; a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, strategic planning, and marketing principles; the ability to apply information technology; oral skills for individual or group communication; writing skills for clear, concise, technically-oriented documents.

 

The Ideal candidate will have actual insurance industry operations; a fundamental understanding of actuarial techniques; a good understanding of underwriting principles, insurance/financial service products and payment plans.
