Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Regional Operations Accounting Analyst in Plano, TX.  This individual will be responsible for performing financial review, analysis and accounting related data support for various Recycle Centers across the US and Canada in accordance with generally accepted accounting procedures.  Prepare monthly journal entries, financial reports, account reconciliations, and other ad hoc projects. Responsibilities

·  Ensure the accuracy of the profit and loss statements and balance sheet accounts for multiple recycle centers by reviewing the monthly results with operational management

·  Research monthly budget variances on a facility and account level basis

·  Preparation for monthly review meetings. 

·  Formal presentation of the operating results to operational and financial management

·  Monthly analysis and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts

·  Provide guidance and support to facility management in recording transactions, coding of expenses, understanding results and other accounting related issues

·  Maintain cost accounting models for multiple facilities

·  Provide operations with analysis and support during annual budget process

·  Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting procedures used in the facilities by reviewing and recommending changes as needed

·  Plan and develop models/templates/demos using Excel and Access

·  Preparation of ad hoc reports and other analysis as required by financial and operational management

·  Other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager

 Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

·  SAP experience preferred

·  Cost accounting background preferred

·  Advanced excel skills

·  Excellent communication skills

·  Willingness to learn

·  Self-starter

·  Detail- Oriented
