GENERAL SUMMARY
The Resource Manager role is a highly visible position requiring interaction with all levels of executives and staff. The ability to balance the business needs with the needs of the professional staff is critical to this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Workforce Planning/Resource Management
• Execute the scheduling function within the business unit which includes maintenance of an up-to-date schedule, staff allocation, conflict resolution, alignment of staff career goals, and reporting.
• Enter open client needs into our staffing database
• Enter individual’s scheduled time into our staffing database
• Maximize the utilization of our people based on their skills and career development goals while meeting the needs of our clients and our business objectives
• Manage scheduling conflicts and determine resolutions, escalate to Lead Resource Manager when necessary
• Report on and analyze resource productivity compared to scheduled time
• Meet or coordinate with new hires to explain and demonstrate the scheduling process
• Delivery of care to our people, point of contact for staff, escalate issues to Engagement Executive, Operating Executive or coaches when necessary
• Collaborate with Lead Resource Manager to provide continual analysis to ensure maximum utilization of employees
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and quality assurance process for standard weekly and monthly reports.
• Review the variance in forecasting and productivity with Operating Executive, Lead Resource Manager and Product Solution leaders as necessary
• Headcount analysis/needs assessment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2-4 years of human resource generalist experience (scheduling, recruiting, performance management, employee relations), preferably in a professional services firm environment a plus
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication and collaboration skills,
• Time management and logical thinking skills; ability to multi-task
• Ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines and respond quickly to requests
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to support a variety of individuals
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Experience with customer relationship management
• Exercise high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal clients (interpersonal and customer service skills)
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work well with others and independently
• Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality and handle sensitive/confidential information
• Demonstrate flexibility and able to work additional hours as needed; willingness to travel as needed (minimal)
• Results and profit-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations; capacity for rendering objective business decisions.
• Strong technical skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, web based applications, etc.). required – database skills a plus
