The Revenue Integrity Manager has the overall responsibility to manage activities that will improve effectiveness and efficiency of the Revenue Cycle functions to promote accurate and timely reimbursement for clinical services performed. The Manager will directly manage a team of Revenue Cycle Analysts and Trainers. In this role, the Manager is responsible to communicate and manage team goals and annual performance objectives, regularly gather and update the team on performance against objectives, provide day to day leadership and problem solving, report to departmental management on team activities, and support recruiting, hiring and training of new team members.
Individual is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing Revenue Cycle projects, including but not limited to the following areas: access, charge services, coding, billing and collections. The Manager oversees all aspects of these projects using planning, monitoring and controlling processes and is responsible for the development, coordination and completion of projects by performing a variety of tasks, including; setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and reporting on project progress. The project manager will be responsible for more than one project at a time.
Daily activities include managing Revenue Cycle Team, maintenance of detailed project plans, leading project status meetings, and overall project coordination to ensure a timely delivery within budget. Must maintain intimate knowledge of all technical, business, personnel and other issues associated with assigned projects. Responsible for creation of project documents (e.g., definition, scope, etc.), monitoring, and maintaining detailed project plans and work effort which include resources, dependencies, and accurate work hours estimates for all project tasks and activities. Provides assistance, support and recommendations to team members and other staff as needed, as well as provides project management mentoring to other Revenue Cycle departmental staff. Coordinates the development of complete technical and business documentation for all project activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows PPH rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, values, and quality commitment of PPH.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree required in Business (or related field), Computer Sciences or a Healthcare related field. Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree required in Business (or related field), Computer Sciences or a Healthcare related field. Minimum Experience: 3 years of project management experience and at least 3 years supervisor/management experience. Preferred Experience: 2-4 years of healthcare experience and experience in revenue cycle functions. Certification: PMP certification preferred (or equivalent certification).
