 JOB TITLE:  REVENUE AND COST ANALYST

 

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for assisting in the monthly close process for the Operations area (revenue, cost, gross margin and inventory).  Responsibility includes preparation of monthly reconciliation, analysis, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. This position is a hands on position.

 

IMPORTANCE/JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for revenue reporting within GAAP guidelines, manage revenue recognition issues, analysis and distribution of daily revenue reports, flash reporting, analysis & verification of data warehouse.

Understanding of revenue recognition guidelines that will identify questionable items that require Finance approval.

Perform traditional Cost Accounting roles from inventory management, variance analysis,  and gross margin analysis.

Coordinate and supervise inventory cycle count program.

Review/Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliation of the Deferred/Accruals Accounts.

Assist in quarterly review and year-end audit by preparing schedules and researching questions from auditors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education, Experience and Other Requirements

 

(1) Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent education and/or experience.

 

(2) 2 5 years related experience.

 

(3)  Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, word processing and spreadsheet applications.

 

(4)  Strong administrative, organization and communication skills.

(5)  Cross-functional experience with operational departments (Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Sales, etc.) would be preferable but not required.
