SEC Lead

A Houston based energy company has an immediate need for a SEC Lead. In addition, you will have the opportunity to grow your career and will be interfacing with Sr. Management on a daily basis.  Relocation assistance is available. Compensation to 125K, plus bonusPrimary Focus  Prepare and assisting in the preparation of SEC reports (i.e., 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, etc.), press releases, slide presentations, financial reports for management, and third parties in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).  Specific Accountabilities  -Financial Reporting – Assisting in preparing and filing of SEC reports including Form 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and registration statements including writing footnotes for financial statements and MD&A and ensuring maintenance of supporting documentation.  -Assist with accounting research activities to apply FASB pronouncements and assist other accounting groups with correct and timely implementation.  -Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) internal control documentation and coordination with external auditors, as it relates to this position.  -Assist with review of monthly consolidations for the companies in accordance with GAAP.  -Preparing and assisting with preparation of other financial reports and for unregistered entities.  -Prepare and assisting with preparation of monthly earnings reports for Senior Management meetings.  -Assist with other responsibilities as required such as process management, evaluation of disclosures, and other duties commensurate with financial reporting objectives.
