SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Orange County engineering firm seeks a motivated well rounded individual as a senior accountant.

Candidates must possess strong communication, technology, organization and analytical skills. Customer service skills are essential.  Must be a self stater who is able to multitask effectively and work independently.

Candidates must have at least three years experience, with a bachelor's degree in accounting.  Working knowledge of Microsoft excel and word and skills to use a variety of software packages.  Must be familar with standard contract language.

Duties include:
  Processing accounts payable and consultants' payable
  Receive, record and deposit receivables
  Prepare and process monthly billing and collections
  Processing and maintain payroll and timesheets
  Review of general ledger accounts and correcting journal entries
  Performing account analysis and reconcilations, including bank statements
  Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
  Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
  Preparation of financial statements
  Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
Preforming monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial
    position/budget variance analyses
  Assist in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management
  Maintaning and reconciling fixed assets schedules
  Assist with human resources and employee benefits
