SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Experience/Qualifications:

· 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting department.

· B.S. in Accounting.

· Certified Public Accountant.

· Knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial reporting.

· Proficiency in Windows applications (i.e. Excel) and knowledge of accounting systems (i.e. SAP, Peoplesoft, etc.);
  experience with SAP and/or Cognos a plus.

· Good organizational, writing, and reporting skills.

· Effective communication skills with people at all levels of the organization.

· Understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting  
  Standards (IFRS).

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

· Month-end closing procedures, including foreign subsidiary accounting and intercompany reconciliations with sister   companies in the SES family.

· Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations.

· Maintain responsibility for assigned P&L items, such as payroll or cost of sales.

· Analyze other general ledger accounts as necessary.

· Support interim, half-year, and year-end audits by external auditors.

· Continual process improvement and documentation.

· Assist Manager, Accounting on various ad hoc projects as necessary.
