SENIOR GL ACCOUNTANT

FAST GROWING SOFTWARE COMPANY IS SEARCHING FOR A SEASONED GL ACCOUNTANT. We are looking for a candidate who is organized, has a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, and advanced problem solving skills. This position will report to the General Ledger Manager. Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting general ledger maintenance, chart of accounts maintenance, and month end close processes. Work with General Ledger Manager to create, document, and communicate new accounting processes to facilitate general ledger improvements. Create reconciliation processes to ensure all consolidated company balance sheet reconciliations and account schedules are prepared, reviewed, and maintained in a centralized location. Assist with annual audit and quarterly review requests. Prepare accurate journal entry submissions and supporting documentation in accordance with company policy; post approved journal entries that include adequate support and evidence of review. Work with General Ledger Manager to develop formalized process for opening new accounts and maintaining documentation surrounding set-up. Consolidate and close accounts as appropriate to facilitate improved and more efficient reporting and analysis. Assist with financial reporting requirements and technical accounting research as needed. Assist in development of processes to address items raised from internal control review. Assist in general ledger internal control review. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting. 3+ years of relevant experience. CPA or CPA candidate a plus.
