SR. TAX ACCOUNTANT for One of the World's Largest Electronics Company! - *Salary up to $100k*

Fortune 500 Corporation in Northern NJ seeks Sr. Tax Accountant Professional.  Qualified candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of the SEC’s consolidated federal income tax return, as well as the federal income tax provision.  As part of the income tax provision, you are responsible for maintaining the FAS109 balances throughout the year and preparing journal entries to reflect these balances.   RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:  Prepares federal tax depreciation and gain and loss on disposition of assets for SEC and subsidiaries. Prepares analysis of various general ledger accounts required for the federal income tax return, e.g., contributions, miscellaneous income and expenses, extraordinary items, pension accrual, GAG accruals, etc. Prepares the tax adjustment for 2nd and 4th class inventory. Prepares quarterly report of operating margin and critical assumptions for APA purposes. Prepares forecast of book income of federal return consolidated entities for purposes of making quarterly estimated federal income tax payments. Calculates the consolidated federal research and experimentation tax credit in coordination with the various divisions that perform qualified activities, and maintains adequate supporting files for documentation. Prepares the journal entry that reconciles the tax provision to the tax return. Prepares supporting documentation for the quarterly income tax provisions, and maintains updated balances in the FAS109 deferred income tax accounts. Assists with calculation of quarterly Federal estimated tax liability and resulting income tax payments. Assists Senior Managers, Federal Taxes and State & Local Tax in research and other projects or analysis as needed. Prepare miscellaneous tax returns and surveys. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance. Candidates must have a master’s degree in taxation or be actively pursing one. 5-7 years of accounting and tax related business experience in a corporation that files a consolidated Federal tax return.
