Consultant answer incoming calls via cell phone respond to, investigate, analyze and resolve a wide variety of technical, workflow and system issues.  In addition to troubleshooting calls, consultants visit local construction companies for trouble shooting their systems. Additional responsibilities include teaching Timberline Curriculums to new and existing users. Timberline Consultants are required to engage in continued learning and training.  Passing a standard the Timberline Certification is a requirement. Experience using Timberline software in a construction office is a requirement. 

Qualifications B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Accounting. Successful completion of the training period, including passage of no less than three Knowledge Reviews at 85% or better, a skills test and a satisfactory manager review. Incumbents must continue to engage in learning through formal training and informal, self-directed study to acquire expertise in additional applications and to prepare for their Certification Test. Demonstrates judgment and decision-making without definitive guidance or direction and understands when to forward unusual or high-risk calls to more experienced staff. Ability to step through a linear analysis of complex technical issues and to identify problems and suggest solutions in a logical manner. Strong problem solving skills, the ability to break business processes into simplified steps. Ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of clients in tense, pressure-filled or somewhat adversarial situations. Ability to learn and apply technical knowledge related to operating systems and Timberline's software within scheduled periods. Very strong verbal and listening communication skills. Excellent writing skills, including grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. Ability to effectively work within cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment. Ability to respond effectively to multiple conflicting priorities, continuously prioritize and reprioritize deliverables and to respond to unexpected changes. Must be willing to do occasional travel and have a flexible schedule.
