Sales Assistant/Trade Support

 

Description

A global brokerage firm headquartered in Chicago with offices in all major financial centers is looking for a Sales Assistant to provide sales and trade support to the institutional financial futures desk.

Areas of Responsibility include:
• Customer account maintenance responsibilities include: data entry, input of trades and allocation, liaison between customer and back office.
• Trade check out and processing.
• Efficient and accurate execution of client futures orders on computer and various exchange floors.
• Quoting, updating and relaying market information, news, first and last trading days and account information to customers on a daily basis.
• Reconcile and report daily trade activity to numerous clients.
• Marketing of services to existing clients and prospecting new clients.

 

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
• 2-3 years experience in financial services.
• College degree preferably in finance, economics or math

• Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Ability to multi-task and to present a professional, composed demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work and think independently.
• Ability to solve problems and see projects through to completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail oriented.
• Ability to review and analyze volume reports and profitability reports; must be able to identify and research questionable items.
• Ability to obtain Series 3 license upon hire.
