Sales & Margin General Accounting Manager- Top Company!

Responsibilities: Direct the activities of the sales & margin general accounting staff. Prepare monthly internal financial statements. Oversee all monthly, quarterly and year end closings. Administer the preparation and distribution of timely and accurate operating/ financial statement to both internal management and external users. Review all general ledger account analysis and ensure that the Company's financial records are accurate. Coordinate year end audit with the external auditors and ensure that the year end audit package is accurate and complete. Prepare managerial reports as required. Assist in the development of the Finance Department budget. Assist management in understanding the internal financial statements. Provide financial expertise to internal management to assist in various strategic and operating decisions.

Requirements:

** CPA Required. ** MBA preferred.Must have large company exp: preferred over $1B in annual revenues Retail industry Sales & Margin Accounting Experience a big plus.Managed team of between 1-5+ accountants. Determine revenue recognition treatment for new company initiatives. Maintain sales and cost accounting rules and manage account structures. System experience in Oracle and/or PeopleSoft a BIG plus! Experience with systems conversions.Month-end close coordination. SOX documentation and coordination. Audit request coordination. Research and resolve sales issue questions. Data warehouse exp a plus. Various research and account analysis
