Sales and Use Tax Analyst - Required ASAP!

One of Houston's top companies to work for has an immediate need for a Sales and Use Tax Analyst to join their growing department. This company offers a very good compensation package that includes a yearly bonus, a pension plan and full health care benefits.  In addtion, this client offers a flexible work schedule, a good work life balance and career advancement.  The ideal candidate will have a CPA, public accounting experience and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Sales and Use tax, preferably in the energy industry. Key Duties include:·  Review and assist in preparation of state and local tax reports and coordinate with accounting personnel as needed.·  Manage state and local Sales and Use tax audits.·  Research state and local issues relating to current activity, audit issues and acquisition planning.·  Quantify impact of developments in state Sales and Use tax legislation and communicate results.·  Conduct monthly Sales and Use tax testing.·  Assist with the implementation and use of appropriate Sales and Use tax solution software.·  Assist in the management of Exemption Certificates.·  Assist in the integration of new businesses/companies upon acquisition.·  Provide assistance and guidance to Compliance analyst as necessary.·  Manage Transaction tax special projects.·  Develop and maintain Sox documentation.·  Investigate tax savings and assist in business unit implementation.  Company: Accounting Principals Status: Full Time, Employee Location: 77002 Salary: 75,000.00 - 88,000.00 USD /year Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)
