Senior Accountant

Growing fantasy sports media company seeks Senior Accountant to help manage the growth of the company create the next generation in online Fantasy Sports games.



Based in the Inglewood, CA (near LAX), we are a small, fast growing and well funded internet start-up company that specializes in delivering the latest in Sports Media and revolutionary Sports Entertainment services. Our Ivy League-educated founders are leaders in the Internet and Sports industry.  In addition, we have recently secured Series A funding from high-profile investors that will be used for massive growth and new development.



As a Senior Accountant at RotoHog, you will be responsible for all accounting duties for the company. You will report directly to the Executive VP of Product Strategy in our fast-pace, energetic work environment, and work closely with all members of the management team.





Your responsibilities include the following:

·       Maintain General Ledger and monitor cash receipts and disbursements.

·       Prepare financial statements for internal and external users. Collect and analyze financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines.

·       Researches accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy.

·       Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

·       Report organization's finances to management, and offer suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

·       Lead and direct the work of others.

 

This position requires the following skills:

·    Requires 3-5 years of experience in the field 

·       Experience using Quickbooks software and cash basis accounting

·       Familiarity with AP controls, AR controls, and an ability to implement segregated duties.

·       A bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA are preferred.

·       Knowledgeable about a wide variety of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.   Uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

·       Ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks.

·       Wide degree of creativity and latitude.
