Senior Accountant

The Opportunity:

We are expanding our team and are seeking a mature professional with solid experience in the corporate finance arena.  This Finance position will be responsible for review, analysis and reconciliation of general ledger transactions and accounts, contract setup and maintenance in our Solomon GL system, and numerous ad-hoc projects as specified by management.  The right candidate will demonstrate strong technical judgment to ensure financial transactions are appropriately recorded and will also exhibit poise, confidence and professionalism as you will have exposure to many different departments throughout the company. 

 Core Deliverables and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for monthly general ledger reconciliations as part of our monthly close process to ensure integrity of account balances.

· Use strong technical judgment when reconciling account balances to ensure appropriate classification of transactions.

· Responsible for timely processing of new and renewed contracts in our Solomon GL system.

· Assist with weekly cash flow analysis.

· Prepare weekly analysis of accounts receivable balances.

· Prepare monthly accruals for month-end close.

· Backup for daily sales reporting to the Company’s management team.

· Prepare daily credit card summary and reconcile results to provider statements and internal cash reports.

· Support the rest of the finance department in preparation for quarterly reviews and annual audits by external auditors.

· Numerous other ad-hoc projects as requested by management.

Position Qualifications:

· Strong experience in Microsoft Excel is required.

· Experience using Solomon accounting software would be a plus.

· Ability to proactively identify problems and propose solutions.

· Ability to work both independently and with a team to achieve objectives.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines.

· Demonstrated ability to interface with team members from all areas of the business.

· A desire to achieve and to exceed expectations.

 

Education / Skills / Training / Certifications:

 

· Accounting degree or equivalent experience

· CPA or CPA Candidate is a plus, but not required

· 4 years experience in corporate Accounting / Finance

· Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

· Excellent people skills for dealing multiple departments within the Company

· Strong oral and written communications skills in a professional environment
